The Care & Keeping of "Little Puppy"

Today, after church was over and people were clearing out, Kynzie found an unclaimed little (stuffed) puppy (we are talking something likely from a McD's meal or similar). She said we better take it to the lost and found, but by the time we arrived at the lost and found location, no one was there to take said found item.
Kynzie came back to me with tears in her eyes. She said she was so sad that no one was there to take the item, and now what would the owner of this lost little puppy do? She was explaining the situation to a friend when I realized what the tears really represented.
Kynzie recounted that she herself had a little tiny puppy once and lost it and didn't want this puppy's owner to feel the same. Scott agreed that she could take the puppy home this week and bring it back to the lost and found next week.
At home this evening, she made a bed in a basket in which to carry the little puppy until bedtime when she decided the puppy needed to sleep with her. We have known her own little puppy (and spare cuddle blanket) have been missing for awhile, but this is the first glimpse of the impact of its absence.
She even mentioned going to the store to pick out a new little puppy. I wish we knew where we left it. Here is the blog post about her Little Puppy.
